Travis has worked at Touch of Nature Environmental Center since January of 2006.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leisure Services Management with a specialization in Outdoor Recreation from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Travis has worked for the Environmental Ed-ventures program demonstrating Maple Syrup Production and lecturing on the vast history behind its production and uses.  Travis currently works for the Underway Outdoor Adventure Program facilitating Team Building Activities, Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Backpacking Expeditions, Caving, and the High Ropes Course at Touch of Nature.  Along with his duties as an Outdoor Program Aide, Travis also maintains Touch of Nature’s computer network and website.

Certifications currently held by Travis include being a licensed Privet Pilot through the Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) since December of 2000, a certified Outdoor Leader through the Wilderness Education Association (W.E.A.) since June of 2005, and a certified Scuba Diver through the National Association of Underwater Instructors (N.A.U.I.)since September of 2006.
