Geoff Schropp
Program Coordinator -- Spectrum Wilderness Program

Geoff earned a B.S. in Recreation and Parks Administration from the University of Delaware and a M.S. in Education with a major in Recreation from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Geoff joined Touch of Nature in 1998 and began serving as the Coordinator of the Spectrum Wilderness Program in 2005. Having a strong interest in caving, he is a member of the National Speleological Society (NSS), conservation chair and past president of the Little Eqypt Grotto of the NSS, and was Project Coordinator of the Shawnee Cave Use Study, an Illinois Department of Natural Resources small project grant funded through the Illinois Wildlife Preservation Fund. Geoff is a Certifying Instructor for and a member of the Wilderness Education Association, a Leave No Trace Outdoor Skills and Ethics Trainer, and is certified as a Wilderness First Responder and in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Geoff also serves as co-chair of the Southern Region of the statewide Unified Delinquency Intervention Service (UDIS) Task Force.
